First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Die Schweizerische Post.
Innovation Manager
After the cover letter, there was a video interview where I also had to speak French. Then I had an online interview with HR and my boss. Finally, there was an on-site case study, including meeting the team and a site tour.
- What innovations would you introduce to appeal to SMEs?
Operations Employee
The HR and managers were great. They were friendly and guided me through the interview process smoothly. They asked job-specific questions and also some fun questions to ease the nervousness. They also pay close attention to your future plans, both professionally and personally.
- How long do you plan to stay with us?
Business Analyst
The interview was structured and conducted in a friendly manner. It was challenging, insightful, and professionally handled. In total, there were 5 people present, all of whom asked interesting questions and provided valuable input.
- Why am I suitable for this job?
Conversation Designer
After a pleasant initial chat with HR, I had an online meeting that lasted just under two hours. It included a Design Lead, a Business Engineer, and an external person. The external person left early without saying goodbye and didn't really participate. The meeting was structured, but the facilitator seemed tired, unenthusiastic, and uninterested in the conversation, making the flow feel unnatural. The Design Lead seemed to overlook one of my statements about an assessment and didn't seem interested. Instead of a technical discussion, I was shown company org charts. Overall, the energy from the other side was low from the start, very basic, and felt like a one-sided interrogation. The feedback call about the decision was delivered evasively.
- Were the technical questions interesting, and did they remain superficial?
- Did anyone really engage with the answers provided?
- The manager asked general questions but expected specific answers, and seemed uncomfortable providing more context.
