First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Didi Chuxing.
Operations Analyst
There were 3 interviews for the position: an initial chat with the hiring manager, a case presentation to the hiring manager, partners, and HR, and a final interview with the hiring manager. The whole process took a little over a month. After the case presentation, I waited about 2 weeks for a response and had to chase the selection team for an update. They were slow to respond, which forced me to contact the hiring manager directly, who then gave me a negative answer, citing a lack of Python technical knowledge (which wasn't a requirement in the job description). I found the overall process quite demanding, and the lack of response, coupled with the introduction of a new requirement after the case presentation that wasn't in the job description, and having to keep asking for a response, was very frustrating.

- What's your approach to prioritizing a new feature for the backlog?
Operations Analyst
I had 2 interviews. First, I spoke with the area manager. They asked me about my interests, to explain my CV, and then asked some market sizing questions. After that, I had another interview with the team lead, which was more of a get-to-know-you chat and included some tricky questions to gauge my thinking process. Both interviews were quite fast.
- The manager asked market sizing questions.
Operations Analyst
The interviews focus on solving market size problems related to the company and the area (food or rides). Then they will ask you to use the STAR method to answer, after that the interview is more about your values and development.

- Can you solve market sizing problems for the food or rides business?
- How would you answer questions using the STAR method?
