Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Didi Chuxing.
Analyst
I had one initial chat with the recruiter and then two more interviews with the hiring manager and the team. Each interview was about 45 minutes long and they were spaced out about a week apart. A coordinator was assigned to me and was very helpful.
- Can you describe your past experiences?
Analyst
About 3 to 4 days after applying, I got a call from an interviewer on my mobile. We scheduled a Zoom meeting. The interview started with me introducing myself and then proceeded as normal.
- Could you start by introducing yourself?
- Tell me about your projects.
- Have you had experience using SQL in practical scenarios?
Senior Analyst
I went through three interviews. The first was with an HR person located in Mexico, who asked about my background and included some parts in English. The second interview was more about assessing cultural alignment and my past relevant experience. The last interview was quite negative; the interviewer seemed unwilling to conduct it and uninterested in my qualifications and background. Both the second and third interviews involved many behavioral questions like 'Tell me about a time...' and also had an English component. The offered salary isn't competitive for someone with over 5 years of experience and a Master's degree.
- Can you share an instance of a time you failed?
- What was your biggest success?
- Tell me about a time you encountered failure.
