The interview process was really messy and took forever. First, I talked to a recruiter, then HR, and an office manager. Then they told me the job wasn't open in my area. A few months later, the recruiter called me again about what seemed like a new job in their Las Vegas office, which also included supporting a California attorney. I asked if CA experience was a must, and they said no. I went for what I thought was an in-person interview, but the attorney was on Zoom and didn't even know the job required working with a CA attorney. She had worries about the workload and scope that nobody had apparently told her about. When I brought these issues up professionally, HR got defensive instead of giving me clear answers. In the end, they said the CA attorney wanted someone with CA filing experience, which was the opposite of what I was told before, making the in-person interview pointless, especially since the attorney wasn't even there. The lack of communication between HR, recruiting, and the lawyers wasted my time and was frustrating. On the bright side, the Las Vegas partner and office manager I met were great and made a really good impression. If it weren't for the poor coordination and changing requirements from the HR person who's allegedly been there for over 30 years, it could have been a fantastic experience.

The interview process was pretty standard, but I had a really bad experience. I'm not sure what happened. I got the job offer, but then they took it back after I mentioned I have a disabled child and asked about negotiating the number of days I'd need to be in the office. The company has a hybrid schedule, so I thought asking about flexibility for childcare was reasonable. They rescinded the offer and wouldn't give me a reason. I didn't do anything wrong. I can only assume they have a bias against people with disabilities or those who care for them.

After my OCI interview, I received a callback. The subsequent interview was quite demanding, involving meetings with approximately 8 attorneys. While some attorneys showed genuine interest in getting to know me, others seemed uninterested, as if obligated to participate. Although I didn't receive an offer, the experience was a valuable learning opportunity.

The interviewers were super nice and seemed really interested in my background and how I could contribute to the firm. I ended up withdrawing my application because I got an offer from another company, but overall, I had a really good interview experience.
