Customer Service Representative
It was a smooth and easy interview process. They asked me if I had prior experience in retail customer service. The interviewer was nice and helped calm my nerves, and it seemed like a good place to work.
- Do you have experience working in retail customer service?
Customer Service Specialist
I applied online and got a call back the next week. Then I met with both assistant managers for my interview, but at different times the same day. After that, I had a final meet with the store manager on a different day to get hired. It was a really laid-back interview, and they mostly asked behavioral questions. They really want to see your customer skills and knowledge, and they said to just be yourself. Knowing about sports helps but I didn't have much. Dress professionally like always, and bring your resume and cover letter. Be ready to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a great job if you're in school or older and want something to do or make some extra money.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations for a customer?
Customer Service Specialist
You'll meet with two managers. It's pretty standard, they just want to see if you'd be a good fit and if you're 'sports minded'. One manager will take you aside with a list of pre-selected corporate questions. After that first chat, you'll have a second interview with the store manager for the final approval.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer and how you handled it?
- What sports have you participated in?
- Why do you think you'd be a good addition to our team?
