The hiring manager got on the call and first thing he did was complain about how busy he was and that it was hard for him to make time for this interview, even though I was super flexible. He didn't really answer my questions straight and went on these long tangents, so by the end, neither of us knew what he was talking about. He ended the call by saying again how busy he was and that I'd probably have to wait a while to hear back. I never heard back and I wasn't interested anymore anyway.

The interview process was very fast, and I heard back in less than a week. I spoke with an admin officer who asked general questions, and then two lab supervisors who asked more technical questions. It seemed like they really needed someone.

First, there was a phone call with a recruiter. After they screened me, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and a team member. The second round involved separate interviews with the hiring manager and two other team members. And that was the whole process.

It was a standard interview process, no tech questions really. Mostly questions about my background and personality. Since it was during COVID, it was a group interview. I dressed business casual and spoke with someone from operations.
