It was a 3 step selection process: HR, hiring manager, and department head. It started remotely and then part of it was in person. The first steps were less technical and more about personal experiences, ambitions, and personal characteristics.

Recruiter phone interview went well. Then, I had an in-person interview with 4 people. They seemed unprepared, asking vague questions and having awkward silences while looking at my resume. The hiring manager was rude, didn't acknowledge my qualifications, and instead questioned and tested my past experiences. The questions weren't relevant to the role but focused on how hard the job is, which made me uncomfortable. They initially said it was an entry-level job with a low salary but then made it sound like a much bigger deal.

Behavioral

It was pretty easy - 3 steps total. First was a call with the recruiter, then 2 more with the hiring manager. One of those was remote, and the second was in person. The real issue was later. I was initially rejected, but then two weeks later they called me back because they had more headcount and asked if I was still interested. I said yes, and they said I'd hear back the next day. That never happened. They said they had to verify headcount, and then a few days later I asked for an update, and still nothing. No offer letter was sent. They eventually told me to take another job offer if one came up. I tried reaching out to the hiring manager, HR, and the recruiter, but got no response. It was super unprofessional and frankly, disgusting behavior.
