Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dialpad.
Software Engineer
The interview process included a recruiter call, followed by a behavioral interview. Then there were two technical interviews with coding tests, and a system design interview. Finally, a hiring manager or leadership interview, and potentially an onsite interview. This is a pretty standard process for all candidates.
- For the technical interview, calculate the knight move from a starting position S to a target position T.
Software Engineer
I had two back-to-back interviews, lasting about 2 hours total. They were with engineers, and they were really nice and easy to talk to. It was one easy leetcode question and one systems design question.
- Tell me about a leetcode easy question.
- Can you describe a simple design system problem relevant to Dialpad?
Software Engineer
I originally interviewed at Dialpad for SWE for one team, and had a hiring manager call then told me that they routed a different candidate interviewing for a different team into this current role. I was then interviewed for a different team, and had to go through a hiring manager call again, then after two technical interviews and 1HR, which I did very well in, and was able to solve and provide optimal solutions, I did not get any followup after two weeks, even after emailing them. Seems very unorganized and there was no feedback at all.
- Can you draw a clock and show the directions?
