First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DHL Consulting.
Associate Consultant
First, they review your CV and have some mini essay questions, then an HR interview, followed by an Online Assessment. After that, there are 4 interviews on a recruiting day: 2 with project managers and 2 with partners. These interviews include both behavioral and technical parts.
- How would you approach solving these case studies?
Management Consultant
There were several company presentations and introductory calls, which I found very positive. After that, the assessment center took place, structured as follows: In the morning, two cases were worked on; if successful, the afternoon involved two more cases or interviews.
- Tell me a story about your team drive and your personal drive.
Management Consultant
The interview process was quite thorough but felt fair, with 5 distinct stages. It started with a brief 15-minute chat with HR to confirm my interest and go over the schedule. Next were some online tests, specifically SHL assessments for verbal and numerical reasoning. They also offer a helpful 'Prep Session' a week before the main interviews, which I'd suggest attending as it gives insights into what they're looking for. The main event was a virtual Assessment Center, also called Recruiting Day. The morning session included two interviews, each with a 'Personal Fit' part focusing on teamwork and goals, plus a Case Study. You find out during the lunch break if you advance to the afternoon. The afternoon had two more rounds: a 'Roleplay' scenario dealing with a tough stakeholder and another Case Study. The case studies were very practical, focusing on things like internal risks and improving processes, not just abstract market stuff. I was interviewed by three Senior Consultants and one VP.
- Can you share an experience of working within a difficult team environment?
- Could you illustrate a time when you set and strove to achieve ambitious personal goals?
