Behavioral Case Other

The interview process started with an SHL test. If that went well, the recruitment day consisted of two interviews in the morning, and if successful, two more in the afternoon. An offer could be extended on the same day. The morning interviews were focused on standard fit and behavioral questions. The afternoon interviews involved a case study, which was similar to real projects. The key skills tested were: grasping information (quantitative and qualitative data, graphs), structuring the information, basic math skills (no calculators allowed), and asking clarifying questions. A notable point was the lack of clear instructions regarding preparation time for the case study, unlike typical consulting interviews where a specific duration is usually given. This led to a situation where the candidate felt penalized for not taking enough time to prepare, despite structuring the case well. The feedback received felt subjective and potentially influenced by personal bias rather than a thorough evaluation of the candidate's performance across both interviews. This raised concerns about fairness and the reliance on subjective 'likes' or dislikes from senior interviewers. It's recommended for future candidates to proactively ask for details about the case, available information, and especially the preparation time. Interestingly, there were no questions about industry trends or company knowledge, which was unexpected for an in-house consultancy, although these might be covered in later stages.

Technical Case Presentation Behavioral

Got invited for an interview day after passing the online assessment. Arrived the night before, stayed at a hotel, and had a company presentation (1h) by a partner, which cleared up many questions. Then, dinner with 2 fairly new consultants. Nice atmosphere, but quite late. The next morning, a quick welcome and then 2 interviews in the first round, each with a CV and case part, conducted by partners and even the CEO of DHL Inhouse Consulting. Got rejected after the first round. Left right after, and travel costs were reimbursed very quickly. Overall good impression, but felt more like Big Four (even in attitude).

Case Behavioral Presentation

The case interview was medium difficulty and involved calculations. The behavioral questions focused on diving deep into my past experiences from my resume, with lots of follow-up questions. The final round included two case interviews with two managers; one manager presented a creative case, and the other presented a traditional case.
