First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dhar Mann Studios.
Video Director
There were two rounds to the interview process. The first was a Skype call, and the second involved an in-person test where I had to shoot a scene. It was a bit strange and the staff wasn't the friendliest. They didn't give much time for shooting, making it feel like they were setting me up to fail.
- What was your experience like on set?
- Were you more focused on quality or on quick turnaround?
Video Editor
They don't give you clear instructions for the interview test. Their judgment seems to be based on personal opinion, not your actual work. It feels like a waste of time. Even if you pass, there's no job security; they might think you're good one day and then regret hiring you the next. The employee turnover is really high, which is why you'll see so many job openings. They really need to fix this.
- You were asked to complete color grading tasks.
- You were asked to complete video editing tasks.
- You were asked to complete sound editing tasks.
Head of Agency
The interview process involved a recruiter screen, followed by two interviews with executives. The order of these interviews was quite unusual, and communication from the recruiter was also strange. The whole process felt disjointed, with long waits for updates and unclear communication, which made me question the group's overall approach. It was disappointing to see a company that emphasizes values operate with such a lack of clarity and honesty. It seemed like they weren't serious about hiring anyone and were just exploring options. I'd advise other candidates to avoid this opportunity if they're looking for a straightforward experience.
- What strategies would you use to acquire creators?
Music Composer
The interview process was straightforward and efficient. I appreciated how they inquired about how my background would be a good fit for the position. I found the interview experience to be positive and am hopeful about the possibility of joining the team.
- Could you tell me about any past movies or projects you've been involved in that are relevant to this role?
