Accountant
First, you send in your application with your CV, cover letter, and any required forms. Then, the HR or recruitment team checks all the applications to pick out the candidates that seem to fit the job description. After that, there's usually an initial screening, often over the phone or video call. This is to make sure you have the right qualifications, are motivated, know your salary expectations, and are available. Next up is the first interview, which could be with HR or the hiring manager. They'll talk about your background, skills, and if you'd fit into the company culture. You might get some questions about how you handle things like teamwork, solving problems, or communicating. Then comes the second interview, likely with a panel of experts in the field. This is where they really test your technical knowledge, your specific job skills, and how you'd handle real work situations. Sometimes, you'll need to do a case study, give a presentation, or do a practical test. Finally, there might be a last interview with leadership or an executive. They want to see if you can think strategically, if you align with the company's values, and what your long-term potential is. It's usually more of a chat, but they're still evaluating you. If you make it through, they'll do reference and background checks. They'll call your references to confirm your work history, how you performed, and if you're reliable. Background checks might also look into your education, professional memberships, or any compliance stuff. If everything checks out, you'll get a job offer. You can then discuss the salary, benefits, and when you can start. Once you accept, they'll get you started with the team, the systems, and the company culture.
