Customer Trainer
I applied online and was given an interview date, but it got canceled the day of. I followed up a week later and the recruiter was 10 minutes late for our rescheduled call, but I was understanding. When we finally started talking, the questions were easy, I learned about the company, and shared my background. Then, I was told about an assessment test, which I understand is to see if I fit the company culture. However, the test had 50 questions and only 12 minutes, with math and English problems, finding solutions, synonyms, etc. Basically, 4 questions per minute. I finished most of it but not all. I emailed back after taking the assessment and was told my candidacy was moving forward, but I haven't heard anything since.

Account Executive
This is basically just a door-to-door ADT sales job. They use classic bait-and-switch tactics, where the entry-level phone rep tells you the job is one thing, but when you show up for the in-person interview, it turns out to be something else entirely. What they really want are people who are willing to go out on the streets all day, stalking businesses to sell security systems. The environment is boring, and the people I saw looked unhappy, not a single smile. I interviewed with two people that day. The second interviewer made me wait a long time, acting as if he was too busy to make the appointment he scheduled. It was very unprofessional. He then explained that their 'very conservative' owner insists on wearing a suit and tie to look professional, but the real reason is so they don't immediately get identified as just another security sales guy, which is exactly what they are! He did admit that the owner allows a more relaxed dress code in the summer – a suit, but no tie. Wow. You're still a door-to-door sales rep. Don't be fooled by what they tell you on the phone, only to be put into a role you don't want when you get there.
- Could you sell me this pencil?
Sales
This recruiter was super persistent, calling me like 5 times a day even though I told him I had another offer. But I checked out the company website and they seemed to really focus on growth, career pathing, and work-life balance, which is what I wanted. So I went through with it. The recruiter said there's a process and I had to take a 45-minute sales and logic test. I passed that with a 97! Then I took time off work to meet with HR. The HR rep asked me like 101 questions in just 30 minutes. After that, I was supposed to meet with a sales manager, but he was busy. The questions were pretty standard, nothing surprising. Then they hit me with another assessment, 40 questions, mostly math, and I only had 12 minutes to do it without a calculator. I totally bombed it. It felt like a waste of time with all the calls and emails, and I never even got a follow-up to know where I stood. It was really uncomfortable, and I know people with way more experience who failed their initial test. Sounds like they're missing out on good people because of this weird process.

Installer
I applied online and then the recruiter called me about a week later to set up a meeting. We met at their HR office where they talked about DGA and how great the company is. After the HR intro/interview, I had to take an IQ test and a low voltage/electronics test. Then they copied my driver's license and son to get my background check, which usually takes about a week. So expect a call within a week after the HR interview. A week later, HR called me back to finalize the process with the installation department, where I'd likely meet with two or more people.
