Customer Service Representative
I had two phone interviews and then one in person interview. They asked sales based questions and some questions about accountability at my previous jobs and my experience in a call center environment. I interviewed with 3 different people and then got a job offer shortly after.
- Have you had any prior sales experience?
- Can you tell me about a time you were accountable in a past role?
- What's your experience like working in a call center?
Teller
I applied for the Teller position on 7/7/20 for the Novi, MI location. The recruiter "ghosted" me. Two days later, on 7/9, I got a text from a virtual assistant to set up a 30-minute phone interview. I scheduled it for 7/13 and it went well. The recruiter asked if I was interested in other DFCU locations like Dearborn, Taylor, or Garden City, MI, and I said yes. A week later, on 7/17, I texted the virtual assistant about an update on the Novi position since I hadn't heard back. The recruiter texted back saying that position was filled but she'd pass my info to the Garden City location for a full-time teller position. I confirmed she could. On 7/27, 10 days later, I texted the recruiter again because I still hadn't heard about the position. I asked about an update or any other positions at other locations. I never got a response back, and it's now 8/8. Disappointing there was no courtesy to even follow up after an interview that went well and I was overqualified for the position. Typically, jobs will follow up with some sort of email, text or phone call communication that you were no longer being considered. Unfortunately, DFCU didn't.
- Tell me about your experience with handling cash and with sales.
Cash MRR
The interview was a lot of basic questions, strengths and weakness. It also highlighted the importance of sales that is a huge part of the job and the general guidelines we follow. It would be helpful to know a bit of background about the company as that does come up in the beginning as well. Overall, pretty straightforward
- Can your pretend to sell me something?
MMR
The interview process was really great. They were super friendly and made me feel completely at ease, almost like chatting with friends. I was a bit nervous at first, but I quickly relaxed. I had a good feeling about getting the job, and I did end up getting an offer.
- Can you share an experience you had with a challenging customer and how you managed the situation?
