Software Engineer Intern
Had an HR call where they asked about my technical depth, then I talked to the manager. Then there was 1 or 2 rounds of questions, covering behavioral stuff and general software principles relevant to the role.
- What can you tell me about RESTAPIs?
Senior Staff Software Engineer
The interviewers were not great. One person was late and spent the whole time asking about my background instead of the technical question they were supposed to ask. Two others were kind of vague, asking for specific answers without explaining what they wanted, even when I asked for clarification. I ended up giving them a few different solutions based on different conditions, and I don't think they really got it. They also made some comments about performance that I think are only true in specific situations, not generally, but maybe I misunderstood them since they weren't very clear. The only good technical part was a system design question from the manager, which was weird because they weren't supposed to ask one.
- Could you design a scheduler similar to Java's Timer class?
Software Developer
So for DXC Technology, first you do an online aptitude test, then you have two interview rounds - one technical and one HR or manager interview. If you pass those, they send you an offer letter. After you get the offer, there's a mandatory 6 to 8 week training course with an assessment that you need to pass to actually get the job. The interviews are generally okay, not too hard, they check your logic, how you communicate, and if you know the basics of tech.
