First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dexcom.
Quality Control
I applied online and a recruiter reached out to me. We had a first interview, and then a couple days later I interviewed with the area supervisor. Everyone was really nice and professional. They said I'd hear back soon but then ghosted me. After 4 days I emailed the HR rep about an update and got no response. I emailed again a week later and still nothing. I was pretty bummed about the lack of communication after they decided I wasn't a fit.
- Can you tell me about the inspection and measuring equipment you've used in past jobs?
Quality Engineer
I had a phone screening with someone from HR, then a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, I went for an onsite interview where I met with 8 different people. I got a verbal offer right then and there, and they sent the official offer letter about two weeks later.
- What motivates your decision to leave your current employer, and what draws you to Dexcom?
- Could you elaborate on the technical aspects mentioned in the job description?
- Please discuss your skillsets and relevant experiences from your resume.
Quality Assurance Engineer
I had two phone interviews, one with a recruiter and another with the hiring manager. The process moved fast initially. Then, I had an onsite interview with several engineers and non-engineers, some of whom I wouldn't be working with. They didn't seem to grasp certain aspects and strategies of Quality engineering. The whole interview process felt a bit short and strange to me because there wasn't much time to ask questions about the job. The company is still in its startup phase, which I get might cause delays, but when it takes three months and they repeatedly forget to contact me, I'd say the hiring process is unorganized and inefficient. The company really needs to improve its hiring process before they even get to the interviews. I wish them success in their mission.
