First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dexcom.
Manager
The hiring process involved two rounds with multiple interviewers. It included a presentation, questions about your past duties and responsibilities, and your ideas and vision for the new role. The application process took significantly longer than anticipated. The offer was also very slow to be extended and lacked transparency.
- Could you elaborate on your experience?
- What are your assessments of potential challenges?
- What drives your interest in this position?
Data Manager
The interview scheduling was a bit off, they set it during a time I said I was unavailable, so I had to rearrange my schedule. The hiring manager asked several times if I was interested in working on her team, and I'm not sure why – maybe she thought I'd be bored? I had mixed feelings about that. She was nice though, and told me it's a very competitive role, which I guess is why they kindly rejected me for not being a good fit. I didn't really get a vibe that she represented the company culture well. I'm really interested in Dexcom's products, but she said she only joined Dexcom because she needed a job. I'm hoping she's just an outlier and not representative of the company.
- Can you introduce yourself and do you have experience with SAS?
- Tell me about yourself and some basic SAS questions
Business Manager
Initial interview with inside recruiter then one phone interview followed by two face to face interviews questions were the usual STAR type. HR recruiter gave great communication throughout the process.
- Can you describe an instance where you had to manage a challenging customer?
