& Process

It was pretty relaxed and felt like a regular chat. The first step was a quick phone call with the recruiter. She was efficient in setting up the next interview and kept me informed all the way through.

I had a 2-part Zoom interview process. The first was a 30-minute interview with 2 recruiters. The second was a 30-minute interview with one other person. I believe good companies and good recruiters communicate clearly with ALL candidates regardless of their candidacy. Unfortunately, DeWinter Group, despite being a staffing company, failed in this area. There was no follow-through, at least let me know they moved on with another candidate. Too busy? One time mistake? Who knows? As someone on the other side, whatever the reason was it did not leave a good candidate experience. While the interviews themselves were good (professional and friendly folks), I was extremely disappointed at this company for not following up after my last interview. I emailed two weeks later only to find out on LinkedIn that they hired someone else. There’s a lot of recruiters here so I am hoping others don’t experience this same experience.

It was a 7-round interview process. They ended up deciding to move forward with candidates who had more experience, even though I had a little over a year in the industry when I interviewed. I feel like they should have figured this out earlier, like by round 2 or 3 at the latest. Aside from the number of rounds leading to no offer, it was a good process.

The communication was great, and they took a genuine interest in the roles I was looking for and my past experience. It was easy to schedule, and a pleasure to speak with them. They consistently send relevant roles to view without being overbearing.
