This was probably the longest process to get a rejection I've ever been through, taking nearly two months. After three phone interviews and a face-to-face, I was really confident I had it in the bag. Then I did an assessment test and they emailed asking for three references. I thought that was the last step before an offer, so I waited patiently for them to check my references (though they never actually called them) and move forward. But after three weeks of HR not responding to my many emails and calls asking for an update, I got an email saying they weren't proceeding with my application. It took them three weeks to decide I wasn't a good fit? Their hiring process is really not great or professional. It felt like they had only one HR person handling everything because she kept saying she was too busy to reply to emails or calls, which I suspect was just a way to stall until she heard back from the hiring manager. It's a shame this place puts you through such a tough process and then you don't get the job.

I was contacted to set up an initial phone interview. The phone interview was more in-depth than usual, with about 15 detailed questions. After that, I completed an online assessment. The next day, I got a call to schedule a face-to-face interview with the Associate Director of Career Services and the Campus President. That interview went well, and they asked about 20 very relevant questions about Career Services and higher education. They were pleasant and gave me a good indication of how I did. The final step was another phone interview with the Regional Associate Dean of Career Services, where about 10 standard questions were asked. Overall, it was a great experience with pleasant people and a positive atmosphere.

I applied online and then got a call from HR about my application about a week later. They set up a 30 minute phone interview with standard questions. After that, I took an online iq test with math and problem-solving questions, plus a personality assessment. I contacted HR again and they scheduled a phone interview with the hiring manager where they asked more typical questions, like why I wanted to work for DeVry. I followed up with HR again after that phone interview to set up an in-person interview. This whole follow-up process took two weeks. Then I met with the hiring manager and a senior manager who asked more standard questions, which I was ready for. My advice is to really prepare your answers for obvious interview questions and bring your resume, recommendation letters, and proof of past performance. After the interview, I sent thank you emails to both of them and got an offer the following week.

Applied online and got a recruiter call about a month later. It was a 20-min interview asking about past jobs and my interest in being a specialist. Then, scheduled an in-person interview with co-directors. Had to do an hour-long online quiz and a personal info sheet before the interview. The in-person interview involved a quick office tour, then a private office meeting with the co-directors. They read questions from a paper, took notes on my answers. The interview felt routine and they seemed uninterested, with one co-director yawning and slouching, indicating they were just going through the motions. Couldn't find contact info after the interview.
