The first interview went very well with the creative tribe director (PO/PM/UX). Then I had an interview with a salesperson who, from the beginning of the interview, showed he was bored, with 'pfffff' sounds when I talked about my background, and a mocking tone when I mentioned I had worked on strategy, UX, design, and delivery for an e-commerce website for a garden furniture company. He said, 'Oh, garden furniture?' with a mocking tone, and kept repeating that his client was Louis Vuitton. He quickly made it clear to me that despite my 7 years of experience, 4 years in London, my 4 years of expertise in e-commerce, and my UX skills, none of it would be enough. Then, when I dared to talk about the variety of roles from one mission to another, he made a very harsh remark about how they wouldn't change my mission 'every other day,' even though that wasn't my point at all. He then added that a change of tribe is to be expected in a career plan. Who in 2025 talks about a career plan when people in tech change companies every 2-3 years on average? Anyway, extremely arrogant attitude and a 70s mentality, which for a fifty-something like the salesperson, is very surprising. I sent an email to the creative tribe director (PO, PM, UX) to emphasize my motivation to join the company, but despite a follow-up on LinkedIn, no response! What a lack of professionalism!

3 interviews: RH, BM then Tribu Manager. All went well. But the last one made me not want to join the company. I felt a "micromanagement" culture, full in-person on-site work, lack of remote work flexibility... a bit old school. Also, during this last interview, they told me my salary expectation was above their range. Even though I stressed the importance of salary valuation from the first discussion and they said it was "negotiable". 57-60k Since then, radio silence. No feedback. It's a real red flag. Another point that caught my attention, the meeting room where I had the interview did not reflect the image of a modern and premium company.. Think about taking care of your image and especially giving feedback to candidates who wasted their time in your interviews..

Technical Behavioral Presentation

I had 4 phone calls. Two were technical interviews where we discussed my experiences and some definitions. The first call was with my recruiter. The second was with a Manager who asked about my background. The third call was a video interview with another Manager who wanted to know my salary expectations and challenge me. They really emphasize the importance of communication and argumentation skills, which I demonstrated. They also place a strong emphasis on the history and values of Devoteam.
