Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Devoteam.
Cloud Operations Engineer
First, I talked to the team lead. They asked me some technical stuff, about teamwork, and about my past experiences and hobbies. Then, I had a second interview with an HR person, which was pretty similar but they focused more on my soft skills.
- If a server's boot times are slow, what's your initial troubleshooting step?
Cloud Engineer
It was a relaxed interview process. The first meeting was non-technical, focusing on previous experiences and soft skills. A second meeting has been scheduled and I'm waiting for it now, hoping it happens soon.
- What prior experiences do you have?
- Tell me about your soft skills.
Cloud Engineer
I spoke with a recruiter, then had a technical interview. After that, they told me they weren't moving forward with my application. Then, a few days later, the recruiter called back to say they wanted a second technical interview with the Chief of Infrastructure. Following that, there was a take-home assignment. I didn't have the bandwidth for it, especially since I was interviewing with other companies and they had already rejected me once. So, I decided not to proceed further.
- Can you walk me through your background and experience?
- What's your approach to securely connecting GKE and Cloud SQL?
- Could you describe how to create a Terraform script for a GKE project?
