First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Devereux.
Mental Health Clinician
It was an easy interview process, although the clinical manager was out and not involved. It was pretty straightforward overall; if you have experience, you're likely to get the job. The interviewers were nice and seemed fine to work with.
- Can you describe your experience working with behaviors and teenagers?
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
The interview process was really straightforward and relaxed, but they made sure to ask questions that mattered for finding the right person. Overall, I thought it was a good interview process and I was happy about it.
- Can you tell me about your experience as a BCBA?
- What experience do you have with crisis management?
Direct Care Professional
The interview process itself was pretty smooth, I did both the first and second interviews. After that, I was asked to complete the Diana Screen, which was no problem. I reached out to my recruiter afterward but got no response. I later reached out to the second recruiter who issued the Diana Screen, and she responded to say I passed it. I waited a week before emailing both recruiters again, but neither responded. After about three weeks, one of my references told me she was contacted to complete a reference form. Weeks later, and still no further contact. This shows poor communication and leaves a bad impression about the company. The least either recruiter could have done was respond to an email.
- Are you comfortable using restraints?
Many Roles
I applied online for several jobs. A supervisor called me a month later to interview me for one job. After that, it took several weeks before I heard back from the supervisor. I didn't get the job and I don't know why. I have lots of experience working with individuals with disabilities. I was offered one job at a low pay. I declined the job offer because of the low pay. I gave up applying to jobs in this company because I lost hope that they won't hire me. I kept getting rejection from this company.
- Can you describe how you manage stress?
