First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deveney Communication.
Associate
I submitted my application and then had an interview. It was pretty low-key and the people were nice. They asked relaxed questions about my experience and what I was looking for. I didn't hear back for a few weeks, a lot of waiting. Then, they sent a writing test a few weeks later and eventually rejected me.
- Tell me about your experience.
Account Coordinator
It was a long, extensive, and a bit "overkill" process. They started with a phone interview, then an in-person interview, and finally, a more formal presentation based on a fake project that I presented to a panel of people at the office. They also included a writing test to check how well I could draft a professional email.
- Can you tell me about your experience with writing, press releases, and pitching stories?
- Have you worked in an agency before?
- What's your approach to building relationships with media and clients?
Associate
To apply for the associates program, you first submit a resume and cover letter. If your application passes the initial review, you'll get an email to schedule an interview. If you get to the second stage, you'll be given a mock assignment to show off your creative abilities.
- Can you discuss your background and experience?
- Walk me through how you approach creative tasks.
