It was a pretty bad experience overall. Leetcode questions were asked for a front-end developer position. The interview process had no structure, and I was asked to write code in a notepad or the browser console. 2024 onwards seems pretty grim for the industry.

The interview process involved three rounds. We delved into basic React JS and Javascript concepts, discussed my current project in detail, and there was a culture fit check in every round. The offer was a bit lower than I expected, and there was a focus on basic performance optimization.

It was a good in-depth interview with considerate hiring managers. They were flexible with my schedule as I had other interviews going on. They were understanding about my need for time to prepare even with the COVID situation. The interviewers were kind and supportive developers who gave me space to find my own mistakes and correct them, and also allowed me to communicate my doubts. They valued my passion and dedication to learning over just years of experience, which was evident in their feedback and conversation.
