I went through 3 phases for this DT CSP role (inhouse consulting). It was a super long and draining process, but I got really good feedback at every stage. Even in the final round, they only gave me positive feedback. Then, the very next day, they called to say they weren't hiring me because they needed someone more senior, which they never actually said upfront. They actually made it seem like they were also looking to hire someone junior. I spent over 200 hours preparing for this over 3 months. I just wish they had been upfront from the start and told me they only had a senior position available. I knew I wasn't a senior consultant and I wouldn't have put myself through all of this if they had been honest.

I found out about the job through a current intern on a university Facebook group. After asking them some basic questions, I applied by sending my CV and other documents directly to the hiring manager. About two weeks later, I was invited for an interview at the company's HQ. I met with my future supervisor, and we went for coffee. The interview was pretty relaxed and focused more on my personality, interests, skills, and experiences, rather than my knowledge of the company or industry passion. My travel costs were reimbursed. The intern later told me I made a good impression. I sent a thank-you email and got a response saying they still had some managerial decisions to make. About a month later, I followed up with another email. Two to three months after the interview, I received an offer with a flexible start date between four and ten months out. I accepted, and we agreed on a 4.5-month internship, though they had hoped for 6 months.

I applied and then did an online test. After that, I had two virtual interviews. The final step was an on-site application day with senior managers and an external reviewer. The whole thing was pretty fair and I got good feedback.
