Intern
Interview at the German Civil Peace Service (GIZ); despite various internships and part-time jobs, the question of lacking professional experience came up, relatively short conversation with a relatively long explanation from the interviewer about their own work, overall nice atmosphere
- What do you hope to gain from the internship?
Intern
Online interview with two GIZ employees and potential colleagues. There was time for self-introduction, questions about GIZ, the 'develoPPP' program I applied for, and potential questions. Preparation involved using the program's own website.
- What makes develoPPP stand out from other GIZ projects and why is working with private companies a good idea?
- What are the benefits of cooperation with private companies?
Intern
The whole thing is basically a structured process where you talk to a company you're trying to work for. It usually goes like this: first, you apply, then they look at your stuff to see if you're a good fit. After that, they might call or email you to set up a first chat, which is usually over the phone or video. Then you'll probably have a chat with the hiring manager or someone from HR to see if you're qualified and if you'd fit in. Some jobs also need you to do tests or assignments to check your skills. It's not the same everywhere, so it's good to talk clearly and make sure it's a good match.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What can you tell me regarding the development of digital learning platforms?
