I had a 30-minute call with the Corporate HR recruiter. Then I met with the HR Manager, the GM, and the Regional Director. I was a little surprised that the HR manager and the corporate recruiter hadn't spoken beforehand. I was told it took a while for the regional manager to get back to the HR manager because he had so many open positions.

I got a call from the department manager, and then I went in for an interview the next day. I interviewed with the department manager, and they asked if I could stay for a second interview. My second interview was with the director and the department manager. They mentioned someone would call me. Later that day, the department manager called me and asked if I'd come in the next day to interview with the general manager. I went in for my third interview with the gm. A couple of days later, the dm called me, offered me the position, and asked me to come in to negotiate salary. I went in the following day, negotiated a salary on the higher end, and started 2 days later.

So, the first step was connecting with a Regional Director I already knew. They sent my info to HR and the hiring manager for the role. Honestly, without that intro, I doubt my resume would have passed their system. After three phone calls (HR, the manager, and a Managing Director), they set up an in-person interview. The property's HR team really handled the whole onsite part smoothly – travel, hotels, the schedule, and giving me info about the job and company. It was a pretty packed two days, meeting with different department heads and having several meetings with the Managing Director. Everyone was professional and really showed off the company culture. In the end, they ended up going with a local person, and I would have needed to relocate.
