The interview was great. They asked technical questions and I described my background and academia. I also learned about the company and the work they are achieving. It's a great company with great values. It lasted 45 minutes total and I had time for questions at the end. The whole process was smooth.

I first spoke with the recruiter by phone, and then she arranged a call with the hiring manager. The hiring manager let me know I was moving forward and gave me the names and roles of people I would be meeting. However, no interviews were actually scheduled. It was right before the holidays, so I figured that was why. I reached out to ask about the next steps and when I'd get the interview schedule, but the recruiter never responded. It was a pretty weird experience and the first time something like this has happened to me.

I applied online and had a quick casual phone screen. Then, I had two 30-minute interviews back-to-back with the head engineer and a senior engineer. They asked pretty much the same questions. It was very focused on projects and how comfortable I am with different CAD tools. I got an offer the same day.

The internal recruiter reached out after I applied to talk about the job and to set up a meeting with the hiring manager. The recruiter sent a possible interview date, but then stopped responding when I tried to finalize the time.
