First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Design Science Consulting, Inc..
Associate Engineer
The process was pretty straightforward. I submitted my application including a CV. Next I had a call with someone from HR who gave me some general information about the company and asked me about my prior career and my qualification. After this, there was a second interview with someone from the senior team. This one was much more technical, diving into specific knowledge needed for the position. At the same time, I did learn a lot about the company, the work culture and could ask all the questions I had. Lastly I got a written exercise where I needed to apply some of the relevant knowledge for the job, send this in and present it during the 3rd call.
- Do you believe you have the appropriate mindset and attitude for a fast-paced consulting setting?
Software Engineer
The interview process took 3 weeks and consisted of three rounds. The interviewers were very friendly and made me feel relaxed. It was very thorough and overall a pretty positive experience. Each stage went smoothly, and I had good conversations where I could show my strengths.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to resolve a conflict within your team and explain how you managed it.
Analyst
I had a 30-minute phone interview where they basically went over my skills and background to check basic qualifications. After that, they emailed me to see if I could come in for an in-person interview. The in-person part was a bit more in-depth, focusing on my past experiences and work history, and how I'd fit into the company culture.
- Tell me what you know about our company.
Program Manager
I applied through LinkedIn and got an email for a video interview. It was my first interview in five years and I think it went okay, but not great. I sent a thank you email afterwards but never heard back.
- How many projects did you manage simultaneously, and what was your approach to balancing priorities?
