IT Technician
Submitted my resume and heard back faster than usual. Had a phone chat with the department manager. He was on time and really friendly. We covered some really basic questions, and he was happy to rephrase anything I wasn't sure about. Then I went in for an onsite, and he and his team were again super prepared, polite, and asked questions that made me think but weren't out of the blue.
- What's a key quality for teamwork, in your opinion?
- Describe how you'd explain a tech problem over the phone to someone with no computer background.
- Where do you go online to keep up with IT news?
Sales Engineer
I interviewed on site at their Minnesota headquarters. An HR rep greeted me. I had a standard interview with the Engineering Manager, who seemed young and inexperienced with interviewing.
- Can you share an accomplishment and explain how it benefited the company?
Software Engineer
The interview process involved many behavioral and knowledge-based questions related to the field. They asked about class projects, specifically the tools, methods, and programming languages used, as the role requires understanding code. Prior knowledge of engineering terms would be very helpful. The process didn't take too long, and the interviewers were really nice. It was one of the most comfortable and interesting interviews I've had so far. Great place to work. Good Luck!
- What programming tools and languages do you know?
- Can you tell me about the most recent project you worked on?
- Explain your class projects, detailing the tools, methods, and languages you used.
Administrative Assistant
The interview started with a quick 1-on-1 with HR, and then I was asked some questions by them and the production manager who joined us. After that, we took a tour of the production floor and engineering area. The whole thing took about an hour and wasn't too tough. Mostly, they wanted to see if I had potential to grow and develop my skills, and if my personality fit in with the fast-paced, growing company.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you handled it.
