First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Design & Integration.
Audio Visual Engineer
The interview started with the hiring manager not having the correct resume in front of them. They stated that I went to a different school and that I had a different GPA. After correcting them, soon after, they asked if I had a certain certification that was not listed as a requirement in the initial job posting. The interview was essentially over after that in terms of being in the running. I said I was willing to obtain that certification, but was offered no assistance or assurance in retrieving it, despite already holding similar certifications. I was not contacted at all after this interview about whether I was being considered or not going forward, though I stayed positive, respectful, and kept a smile on my face the whole time, despite their shortcomings.
- Regarding your certifications, do you possess the required one for this role?
Project Manager
I went through 3 rounds of interviews with the Director and CEO. They were really open and honest about the job. I got an offer, but when I tried to negotiate a better compensation package, they stopped responding. After 3 weeks of hardly any communication, they told me they had hired someone else.
- What are the top 3 skills a Project Manager must have?
Multimedia Specialist
The interview was pretty easy. The manager looked over my work and discussed responsibilities and expectations, and gave me an overview of the company. It sounded like great benefits from the overview.
- How do you approach working collaboratively in a team versus working independently?
Service Associate
I talked to the hiring manager. They told me about the company's history and that it's family-owned. Then they asked about my background and experience, and what skills I could contribute.
- Can you handle handling multiple things when there's a tight deadline?
