First, there was a phone interview with HR. Then, I had an in-person interview which included a portfolio review, a drafting test on the computer, and a shop tour.

Very detail oriented questions asked, and the HR person was very kind. I came prepared with questions about the company. It was a very thought out interview process, and they’re particular of what they look for. I had a positive experience with the Director of Graphics and the HR representative.

Behavioral

The interview process was disorganized. The initial phone screener forgot about our scheduled call but was apologetic later. The main interviewers rescheduled twice due to limited availability, causing me to take time off work and disrupt my colleagues. It became clear the screener hadn't shared key information with the interviewers. The VP seemed to have already made up his mind, and the whole experience felt like a waste of time with an unappealing culture.

Had a quick interview, they mostly just asked about my willingness to work the required hours. I was hired pretty fast, within a few weeks after the interview. They made it sound more flexible than it turned out to be, but it worked out for me. The VP and the head of HR were both there for the interview, and then they showed me around the shop.
