The office manager emailed me the day after I applied. She had me write and submit a biography of myself. Then she called me for an hour-long phone interview. She said they wanted to schedule an interview for two days later and that I could come late and we could "drink some wine" while interviewing. After that, I didn't hear from her for 3 or 4 days, despite my two follow-ups. When she finally replied, she said they'd gotten a new client and were very busy, but we'd continue the interview process the next week. She gave me two old ads they'd created for a client and asked me to make a new one over the weekend. I actually created three and sent them on time. Three weeks passed with no response. I tried following up several times with no reply. I suspect the manager was told to stop communicating with me because of my salary expectations, which were quite low given my 8 years of experience. My advice? Serious professionals, don't waste your time; it seems they are seeking someone inexperienced who will accept less than 40k. Very unprofessional.

The first interview was with the office coordinator and VP. They asked general questions and gave me an overview of the position and company. For the second interview, I met the team I would be managing and they asked more specific questions about my role.

They give you a phone call to set up the interview. They will review your portfolio. Lots of people will be involved, even VPs and the COO. They will ask general questions about what you can expect and some fun and outlandish questions to gauge your "peer fit." They don't use recruiters. When you apply, make sure you know what you're supposed to do or they won't even look at you. Their website has the details. Some of my coworkers were able to do a Skype interview because they lived in other states and one person lived in another country.

It was an in-person interview where they asked some cool questions and showed me around the office. It was pretty standard, and I appreciated that they didn't give a project and instead relied on my portfolio.
