The interview process included an initial phone interview, then a Skype interview, followed by another Skype interview. I was informed that the next step would be an in-person interview. It appeared the COO was trying to steer me away from the position because I am not located in California, despite my qualifications and experience. It seems they do not hire out-of-state candidates for this role. It would have been better to state this in the job application, saving me the time of three interviews and the expectation of a fourth. During the third interview, the COO seemed disengaged from the beginning.

Stay away from this place! Honestly, I made the same mistake you're about to make. The unprofessionalism from this company is astounding and extremely frustrating. First call was a resume review, and they said they'd email me with an interview date by the end of the week, but they forgot (beginning of March). My call apparently reminded them to schedule it a week later, then they had issues setting one up at all for another week. After that nonsense, I had my first interview (around mid-late March), and then I was called in for a second interview. I was offered the job if I passed the drug test, which I did, but nobody ever called to notify me. I eventually called after a week, and they stated I would start the first or second week of May - Brad (late April). They passed my resume off to a different position in another department apparently, meanwhile, they never answered or returned my messages or calls after that - Brad & Jennifer. Over two weeks. I just got an email from someone else stating an entirely different situation than what I had been told (May 4th). So I got a third interview, that went well, and I was told I'd get a call by the end of the week, Friday. Nothing, so the next Friday rolled around and he texted to reschedule for next week! He DOES NOT CALL! - David. Once again, I had to call today to get myself informed, and I already knew it, but I really wanted the position. Guess what? They are no longer filling ANY of the positions, apparently (at least not in the way I was told) their CEO doesn't care people have been told they would be hired within a couple of weeks. His exact words were 'well... after a meeting it isn't in the budget, I don't know I've only been here a few months', he kind of stammered through a lot of what he had to say, but you could tell he had doubt in his tone. That's my personal speculation. After screwing me around for 8 weeks or more with the worst possible treatment I've ever received from any company, I think you can understand. Either nobody can face up and deny someone a job while at the same time offering them one, or nobody has a clue as to what's going on. I'm going with the latter.

It started with a phone screen, then we had a Skype interview, and finally an in-person interview. It was a really good experience overall, and you could tell they were looking for people who fit in and would help the company and its culture grow.
