There was an initial interview that involved some paperwork, mostly for legal reasons, and to get a sense of your long-term goals. Then, a formal interview with the manager, who asked standard questions and explained expectations. They mentioned it's expected you'd be looking for a new job, as this role is more of a vocational training program. Following that, there was an orientation with common sense videos and scenarios.

I had three interviews in total. First with the Store Manager, then the Regional Manager. They both asked about my past jobs and for examples of how I've handled issues with coworkers. It was a pretty typical interview, nothing too out there. The whole experience felt really welcoming.

I discussed my background, mentioning I was recovering from a major medical issue and how a position with the company would be beneficial. I then met with the store manager, the department head, and my immediate supervisor.
