Behavioral Technical

I was really excited to join Deseret First Credit Union because I thought my fraud prevention skills were a good match. They initially made me feel like a top candidate, which was promising. But, the whole thing became super disappointing. I applied in July and interviewed in October, and communication was all over the place and unclear. Even though it took ages, I just got a generic rejection email in November instead of a call or any real feedback, which was weird given how long it took. Also, when I talked to the CFO and Fraud Team Lead, they didn't seem that into me, making me question the process. For a place that talks about values and integrity, the candidate experience felt pretty unprofessional. I hope they get better at communicating and how interviewers act, 'cause this didn't look good for them.

You'll chat with the branch manager and the VP of Branch Operations. They're gonna ask about how you'd make sure MSRs are doing their jobs and want to hear about times you led stuff. They might even throw in a wacky question to see how you think on your feet.

Behavioral Presentation

First, I had a phone screen with an HR rep that was very generic and "why are you interested in this position", and also making sure I’d be available for the set in stone and mandatory training days at the operations center, if I got the job. Then, passing the phone screen, I was scheduled for an in-person interview at a physical branch location with the branch manager. The assistant manager was also present during my interview and asked a couple questions, but mostly sat in while the branch manager led.

Behavioral Technical

It was a 3-round interview. First, I had a screen where I had to record a video answering general questions about why I wanted this role and this company. Then, I interviewed with the CFO, which was a pretty technical interview focusing on how to hedge risk by providing a forecast. Finally, I had an interview with the controller and the BI team leader. It was really friendly, but sadly I didn't get the offer.
