This interview process took a bit longer than I thought, but it was totally worth it. I got to meet some amazing people on the team and really get a feel for the company culture. The whole thing was super smooth and organized, which made me feel pretty good. I was impressed by how thoughtful and thorough the questions were, and it was clear they were really interested in learning more about me and my background. There were multiple stages involved from initial contact through to the offer.

I applied for a senior software engineer job at DDM and had my second interview over webcam. The interviewer joined while driving and didn't turn his camera on. It was mostly questions about my tech experience, then two technical questions. I had a lot of experience and nailed the technical questions, which he seemed impressed with. He asked about my PHP and Java experience but didn't dive deep. Afterward, the recruiting agency said the interviewer thought my skills weren't good enough, claiming I used Java more than PHP (which I'd said the opposite) and that I was a lower-level developer. He offered a lower-level role, but I felt insulted by the unprofessionalism and the unfair judgment, likely because he was driving during the interview.

Got a message from a recruiter about the job, they wanted to chat to get to know me and ask some quick tech questions. Then, I had a technical interview with the hiring manager about iOS development. Next up, I met with a mobile developer for more technical questions and to discuss architecture. The final round involved meeting the hiring manager again for a more personal chat, then the director of engineering to discuss salary, a senior engineer about APIs, and the team's designer and product manager. The people were great and the vibe was good. I got an offer a few days later.

Overall, I had a positive interview experience, though it was quite intense. The interview lasted two hours. The first hour involved meeting with the entire Product Management team, which had over 6 members. The second hour was with their Executive Team, consisting of over 8 people. It was clear they put a lot of effort into finding the right candidate. They asked me many questions about my background and how I handle different situations. Everyone was very friendly.
