First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Derick Dermatology.
Medical Assistant
the interview process was very nice and relaxed. everyone i spoke to was friendly. there was a phone interview at first, following by an interview in person at a location with the office manager. the staff are helpful and the facility is nice.
- Can you tell me about your future career goals?
Receptionist
We did a phone chat first, then I met with the office manager. Lastly, there was a working interview where I watched a current receptionist and got to ask them questions.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Medical Assistant
First, HR called to chat about the gig, going over the duties and the schedule (12hr shifts, 3 days a week). Then, I chatted with the Office Manager. They looked over my resume and experience, asking the usual stuff like why I want this job, why I'm a good fit, and about my future plans, strengths, and weaknesses. Lastly, there was a working interview where I went into the office to shadow a medical assistant for about an hour. This gave me a real feel for the job. If it seemed like a good match, they'd offer the job after.
- Can you describe your previous experience?
- How do you ensure you stay organized and focused?
- What's your approach when you're feeling overwhelmed or stressed?
Lab Assistant
Applied online and got an email from a Staffing Associate. Took a pre-assessment questionnaire and a personality test. A few days later, got a rejection email from the same sender, but this time signed as 'Human Resources.'
