First, I had to do a pre-recorded interview where I answered some common questions about my resume and experience. After that, I had a live interview panel with three engineers. They asked me questions about my experience and how I would react in certain situations.

I first connected with Depuy at a career fair on campus. After applying online, I received emails about an on-site interview in Warsaw, IN. I drove 3 hours to the location for the interview. About 10 other candidates and I toured the office and had lunch. After lunch, I had two interviews: one with the knee replacement design/development team and another with quality assurance. The interviews focused on my resume and included some behavioral questions. I had to proactively follow up through calls, emails, and even a letter. It took 4 months to hear back, by which time I had already started a job elsewhere.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Describe a situation where a subordinate you managed failed to deliver, and explain how you handled it.

Behavioral Presentation

I first connected with someone at a career fair. Then I had a personal interview, and about a week later, I had a full interview. This was followed by interviews with the entire product group I might be joining, and then some one-on-one interviews. After that, I had to give a presentation to the whole product development group about a really interesting project I'd worked on. Even though it sounds like a lot, the process was actually pretty interesting and I really enjoyed it.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you tell me about a difficult situation you faced in your career and how you dealt with it?
  • Could you elaborate on your problem-solving abilities?
