The interview process was virtual due to COVID. If you get an interview date, there will be 2 people interviewing you, usually the clinical director or unit supervisor. The questions are long and detailed, so I recommend practicing interviewing with questions on DCF, clinical work, and work experience with clients. DCF wants experienced people for their jobs. After the interview, the unit supervisor will tell you what the next steps are. The waiting period is long, and it takes a while to get a decision. I waited 3 months for a response, so be patient or apply somewhere else while you wait for DCF to get back to you.

The interview process was a bit of a mess. The person who scheduled me for 10 AM via email actually had it down for 11 AM. I showed up at 9 AM and ended up waiting in the parking lot for an hour and then another hour inside because they couldn't do anything about me being there so early. The actual interview involved questions like 'Have you ever done this and been in this scenario and needed an example,' asking for a real-life situation, not just how I would respond. Afterwards, there was a test with two scenarios where they wanted to know how I'd respond. However, during my test, the interviewer disappeared, and I just completed all the tasks she had instructed me to do and printed my work, then left because I had already been there for four hours.

The interview process felt easy, fast, and informative. It gave me a good sense of the job duties and what the company culture is like, which made me feel good about possibly joining them. The interviewers were nice and easy to talk to, so I felt comfortable asking things and sharing my own ideas and what I'm qualified for. All in all, how smooth and complete the process was has made me way more interested in the job and the company.
