First, there was a phone screening. After that, I had a one-hour in-person interview. A panel of three people interviewed me. They were informative, kind, open, and refreshingly candid. They created a comfortable and engaging atmosphere.

After a couple of phone interviews and then an onsite panel interview, which I had to take time off work for, I got ghosted. I followed up twice with the hiring manager and once with the whole panel, but never heard back about the job or got any feedback. Denver Zoo needs to do better with their processes and people.

I applied and about two weeks later, I got a message about doing a quick phone interview. Then I had a skype interview with a manager and director. I was supposed to move on to an in-person interview, but I wasn't able to because of some personal matters since I was applying from out of state. I was a little upset about how it ended. I totally understand that it is frustrating to have someone back out, but I really could not help the situation. They never even emailed me back after I sent an apology and wished them luck with their search. It seemed unprofessional.

It started with a thirty minute skype interview with managers. Then there was an in person interview with managers and then the team afterwards. The second interview took a couple hours since it was split between the managers and the team.
