Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Denver Public Schools.
Recruiter
The interview process started with a phone call, then moved to a panel interview. They did send out a question beforehand about organizing your day so you could practice. But honestly, the whole thing felt super sterile, just Q&A, no real chat or friendly vibes. The panel interview was kinda scary, totally business, no smiles, just firing off questions until it was done. And get this, I didn't hear back for TWO MONTHS after that!
- Given some choices, how would you structure your day?
Recruiter
It's a typical interview process, so you should be ready. The interviewer was really nice and friendly. Even though school was closed because of a snowstorm during the interview and they couldn't get to me, the interviewer still waited for me.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
The interview process was quite long and the hiring manager was really struggling to decide between two candidates. To break the tie, they had us do a PowerPoint presentation. There were a total of four interview rounds.
- Can you walk me through how you would develop a recruitment plan for a role that's difficult to fill?
