I applied for the role on July 30th to support Dentaquest in Colorado. A recruiter reached out in less than 24 hours to set up a 1st interview. After our conversation, she said she would be on PTO the next week. I followed up about 12 days later to ask about the next step, but she didn't reply. A week later, a different recruiter contacted me to schedule a call with the hiring manager. That went well, and a week after that, they set up a panel interview with several AVPs. I thought the discussion went well, but then I was ghosted. I reached out twice to the recruiter and hiring manager for an update, but never heard back. I was surprised by the unprofessionalism from what I thought was a reputable company.

I applied online through Indeed and got a call from a recruiter for a 30-minute phone screen. About two weeks later, I went in person to meet the hiring manager and a team member. Another two weeks passed, and the recruiter let me know they went with someone else. I really appreciated the personal call to tell me their decision, and it's good to know I was close. I felt they were professional and friendly, and the team seemed great.

I was very excited about this phone screen with CareQuest, but it was disappointing. Even though CareQuest had invited me to apply for the position, it seemed like the recruiter was not interested from the start. She had not looked at my resume or prepared any questions in advance. She was making up questions on the spot, and they were often unclear or yes/no questions that did not give me an opportunity to elaborate on my experiences. She talked more than I did. She yawned twice without acknowledging it or apologizing, which is rude. She did not know what "academic writing" is, which means she did not understand my background or what transferable skills I had. I left the interview feeling puzzled about what "feedback" would be passed along to the hiring manager because my answers were not being heard or understood. She did tell me there are a lot of eyes on the position, which makes my phone screen experience even more odd. I had to follow up a month later in order to get them to send me a rejection. I do appreciate that they actually sent a rejection instead of ignoring me. The rejection invited me to apply for other roles. I will not be doing that because of the recruiting process I experienced. Building a brand includes your recruiting practices!

Outreach Coordinator
I had an initial phone interview set for a Friday. Unfortunately, I had a family emergency and had to call the candidate helpline to reschedule about 1.5 hours before my interview. I would have called sooner but you can't predict an emergency. Fortunately, the person on the phone rescheduled me for the following Monday at 11:30 am and I even got a confirmation email. When my original interview time came around that Friday, I received a missed call (which I didn't notice until later because I was dealing with my emergency). The recruiter left me a voicemail about the position I had applied for. I got another call and voicemail 2 minutes later from the same recruiter saying I had missed my interview. I was a bit annoyed by this because I had called an hour and a half before, so I feel like that's enough notice to give the recruiter a heads-up. Following that, I was ready for my Monday interview as confirmed by the Candidate Help Rep and email, but I never got a call and was ghosted by the Recruiter. I found this very frustrating and it creates a bad first impression with the company.
- I wouldn't know what questions were asked because they never called at the confirmed time.
