I had a 30-minute chat with a recruiter named Hanna. It was a mix of getting to know each other and some behavioural questions. After that, I sent an email about ten days later for an update. I never heard back, which was a bit of a bummer regarding communication and the overall experience.

Behavioral Case Presentation

This was the worst interview experience ever, felt like a joke dealing with someone from Marketplace. I applied on LinkedIn and after two weeks, I missed a call from Maria. She texted to schedule an interview but then ghosted me for two weeks, not replying to calls or texts, and not calling when she said she would. I even tried to set up times, but no response. I thought it was a scam. Frustrated, I contacted a territory manager for the area from the LinkedIn posting to report the unprofessionalism. This person confirmed Maria was a recruiter and then told me it was my fault for not replying to Maria, which was ridiculous. We finally scheduled an interview. During the interview, I found out that managers are paid based on clinic revenue. The clinic I was interviewing for had employee retention and knowledge issues and wasn't making much money, so they offered a low salary. I knew then it wouldn't work out because I wasn't going to work hard for very little pay. The interview itself was easy, though. When I asked about increasing compensation, they said they'd check with their boss and never got back to me.

The interview process was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I found the hiring manager to be exceptionally pleasant and engaging. Throughout our conversation, we delved into the intricacies of the role, discussing job expectations, responsibilities, and the overall dynamics of the position. It was enlightening to gain insights into the company's vision and how my skills could align with their objectives.

Behavioral Presentation Other

This role involved 3 interviews. The first was with HR, the second with the hiring manager and another director. The third interview was with the same hiring manager and director, and I was tasked with presenting a marketing plan for a new dental practice launch. I had 15 minutes for the presentation. It was unfortunate that no feedback was given on the marketing plan. While organizations can assess candidates in many ways, they chose a very time-consuming one for the candidate, especially since creating a marketing plan takes significant time. I've previously declined opportunities requiring such a time commitment. However, for various reasons, I decided to proceed, completing the work for free, even though it's something I typically charge for. I ended up spending 10 hours of my personal time making calls, doing research, and developing the plan. Ultimately, they decided not to proceed with my candidacy, which was acceptable given my own reservations after researching the organization. Despite this, I requested feedback after the presentation but received no response. It's disappointing that they don't value candidates' time and effort. At minimum, feedback should have been provided. A more respectful approach would be to compensate candidates for their time and work, as other forward-thinking companies do.
