The recruiter was really unprofessional, only communicating through email and never setting up an actual interview. I got an email asking about my goals, and then a poorly written one saying there were structural changes affecting the part-time Concierge role. They said they had all the info to know if there'd be a position and to check the website in 1-2 weeks and reach out if it was listed. They also mentioned checking other reviews about the company being a pitfall since moving locations and getting rid of full-time positions to avoid benefits.

The process kicked off with a recruiter phone screen, as I had been referred by an existing employee. Following that, I had about two hours of in-person interviews, which included both behavioral questions and situational "what would you do if...?" scenarios. A few days later, the VP of Operations reached out, wanting to connect. Since a face-to-face meeting wasn't possible, we arranged a phone interview. This call felt a bit rushed because the VP was running late and had to jump between meetings.

I was working remotely and covered a big territory, which involved a lot of travel, mostly with schools. I didn't meet my coworkers until after I was hired and brought in for training. The interview process started when I presented myself at a trade show, found the decision-maker, and introduced myself confidently and positively. The interviews evolved from that initial 10-minute conversation, even though I hadn't officially applied for the job yet.

I spoke with 3 people in total. The interview process was really smooth and organized. It all happened over 2 weeks. I talked to HR, the hiring manager, and someone who would be my direct report. I got an update in less than a week.
