Data Analyst Coordinator
Really interesting and refreshing interview process. They put a lot of effort into making me feel comfortable and understanding the company's goals and the drive behind them, as well as the role and its responsibilities.
- What draws you to a career in this field?
- What makes you a strong candidate for this position?
Supply Chain Manager
I applied for the Supply Chain Manager job about 6 months ago. I got a call back and was invited for a 1:1 interview. I got to the facility a bit early and met the receptionist. I was scheduled to meet with the CFO and the HR VP. The interview with the CFO lasted about an hour, during which we talked about my experience and the job itself. Everyone was really nice. Afterwards, I went to another room for a 1:1 with the HR VP. She mentioned she was new to the company and didn't know much about the specific role. The interview went well, and I even got a gift on my way out. I sent thank you notes but didn't hear back. I contacted the HR VP, who told me they were still interviewing. Several weeks later, I followed up again and was emailed a week after that, letting me know I didn't get the position. It took about 5 weeks from my initial interview to finally hear back.
- Can you describe your approach to managing complex inventory situations?
Administration Assistant
This was the strangest one-on-one interview I've ever had. After the initial greeting, the first question was about any charity programs I volunteer for. I was surprised because I don't currently volunteer for any. Towards the end of the interview, they asked about my favorite restaurant, where it's located, and for directions to get there. They then announced I'd receive a parting gift, like a contestant on a game show, based on my performance. I was promised a follow-up email or call regarding the interview results, but I never heard back.
- Could you tell me about any volunteer work you've done with charities recently?
- What's your go-to restaurant?
- How would I get to your favorite restaurant from here?
Supply Chain Director
The hiring process was quite long but I thought it was really thorough. I like it when companies really take their time to interview and make sure they've screened the candidate well and that the person is a good fit for the role and the company culture.
- How do you handle conflict situations?
