First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Delta Products.
National Account Representative
Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn about the role, gave basic info but was vague on timeline. Forwarded my resume to hiring manager. Had a 45-min call with the hiring manager. Felt like they were probing me for ideas for their own job. I was highly qualified, but they never followed up to say they chose someone else.
- Which key customers do you currently have relationships with?
Sales
So I applied, and then got a call for an initial phone screen. When I first saw the ad, it looked like a legit sales job. But during the chat, I found out it's like, telemarketing sales, you know? They give you a script and you gotta cold call people. The whole idea is to make a sale before you hang up, by giving them freebies. It felt old school, kinda sketchy - I doubt even mid-sized companies work like that now. We wrapped up the call once I understood their method, and I mentioned my skills might not fit their business approach.
- Would you still be interested in this position after hearing about our sales process that involves scripts?
Coordinator
I applied online and HR called me for a phone screening about a week later. There was supposed to be a second round interview, but they told me they would postpone it until next year and I am still waiting to hear back from them.
- What value do you add to this position?
