I talked to a recruiter through LinkedIn for the Executive Assistant to the CEO position. Then, I had three rounds of interviews. Things seemed good, but when I followed up about what was next, I heard nothing back at all. No update, no rejection, just silence. It's disappointing to not get any closure after putting in so much effort.

My interview was with a VP who seemed overbooked. I saw them interviewing another candidate before me, which was unprofessional. The VP started 40 minutes late and rushed our 45-minute interview, leaving me only about 10 minutes. They mentioned needing to leave for a 6 pm meeting with a fabric supplier. I questioned why directors or managers weren't handling this supplier meeting.

First I had a phone interview where they explained the position to me and I told them about myself. Then I came for a physical interview in Karmiel. They showed me the place and then I received a home visit. It was a very long process with a lot of time between interviews.

I met with the hiring manager first, and it went well. We seemed to connect, and I was excited about the role. However, for the second interview with the Head of Design, she was 45 minutes late, so I waited. When she arrived, the interview was awkward and intense. I presented my portfolio, and she asked the hiring manager to leave. Then she asked about my salary expectations. When I stated a normal salary for a senior designer, she said she was hoping I'd be cheaper. The offer was about $60k too low for a senior designer, with the highest end of the range being $84k. The role seemed strange, with no senior designer support and only one graphic/CAD designer for three brands, which felt like too much work for the salary. I also heard from contacts that the company has had layoffs, faces crazy deadlines, and has a not-great environment.
