Project Manager
This was a 2-3 month contract gig to help relocate a company to a different floor in the same building. The recruiter I was talking to for another role asked if I was interested, and we set up an interview for that same day. I first spoke with a corporate recruiter and then with the owner. The whole thing lasted about 90 minutes. We chatted about my background, what I could bring to the table, and then dove into the specifics of this project. They wanted me to analyze some plans and such. I figured it went pretty well, but I didn't get an offer in the end.
- Can you list some furniture vendors you've previously collaborated with?
Manager
It was a pretty typical process with three interviews total. The first was with HR and my immediate supervisor, and then I had one with each of the owners. A headhunter contacted me after the first interview with some gossip from current employees about my appearance, specifically something I was born with like my eye color. That was my first sign this place was going to be trouble.
- Be wary of requests for a presentation, and be cautious not to give away your ideas for free.
Logistics Coordinator
I was contacted by an outside HR rep and I had similar experience in the field. I was asked to come into the office and meet the team. Before that I took an excel comprehension test and sent in my re interview.
- Would you be able to commute to the office two times per week?
- How far is the commute to the office?
- Can you answer some basic questions regarding supply chain?
Designer
Pretty simple interview. I talked to some of the people I would be working with, and it was really relaxed. I got to ask questions at the end and they were really nice. Awesome company. Awesome team.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
