Had 3 rounds, 1 with a partner and 2 with Senior Managers, mostly talked about things on my resume, what experience I have, why transfer pricing, my projects listed on the resume, and why I got a master's degree.

My interview experience at Deloitte Israel was a clear sign of a deeply flawed hiring process. After an initial call with a recruiter, a first technical interview was set. I showed up on time for an in-person interview and was left waiting for twenty minutes. The interviewers came late and were clearly unprepared. One of them admitted he hadn’t looked at my resume or background, and after the ‘tell me about yourself’ question he was surprised about my experience and literally said: “Oh you don’t have much experience but I’ll give a chance,” which was so frustrating to hear in the first two minutes of an interview, and then he started mumbling. The meeting had no structure or real purpose, just random questions that felt like they were only there to pass time. The recruiter had mentioned there would be an exam or assessment, but it was never even brought up during the interview. The most telling part was when it was my turn to ask questions; they asked if I had any questions only after they had already stood up and started packing, clearly signaling the end of the meeting and that my engagement wasn’t valued. The whole impression was that this wasn’t a real interview, but just a box-ticking procedure to fill an interview quota, like they were simply told to interview more people for this role (typical Israeli recruitment procedure). The whole experience felt like a joke at the candidate’s expense, and I’m rather happy not to be part of this organisation.

The interview process had three stages. First, there was a phone screening with HR, then an interview with a team manager. After the second stage, I received an assignment, and depending on the results, I was invited to a final interview with a senior manager. The whole process was structured, respectful, and professional. All interviewers were very friendly and supportive the entire time. During the manager interview, I felt a bit nervous and had trouble answering some specific questions, but the atmosphere stayed positive and understanding. Overall, it was a pleasant and fair interview experience.
